But it can be a little (or a lot) scary…

You’ll be asked to do things you’ve never done.
You’ll be required to back yourself even when you don’t feel like you can. You’ll be tempted to retreat back into hiding whenever it feels all too much.

Scary yes. Impossible no.

I often joke that I have a PhD in Fear and Resistance, but the reality is, it’s no joke!

Honestly, if Overthinking was an Olympic Sport I’d have been a world champion

I played small for way too long. Never fully stepping into the ideas that I had, or creating what I wanted to create.

Instead I played it safe and did what logic told me to do. I kept myself busy with #allthethings except those that would actually create the change I wanted to create.

MY STORY

When I left my 15 year career in Financial Services (and that oh so juicy paycheck) I didn’t really know what I wanted to do. I didn’t even know what else I could do. I spent countless hours, months (OK years) and thousands of dollars on marketing courses and training to help me build a successful business.

But I eventually realised I’d made 2 huge mistakes:

1. I was creating a business that didn’t fit who I really was, and what I wanted to create.
2. I kept falling for the MindShit that kept me playing small.

Now I’m calling BS on the stories that were keeping me stuck, loving the work I do, spending waaaay more time with my kids, and have learnt to really appreciate all that I am and all that I can be.

Still curious? Here are 5 pointless facts that you may find mildly interesting…

1. I say shit way more than I probably should
2. I’ve jumped out of a plane, but I refuse to bungee
3. I do a sunrise run with my dog most days, even during winter
4. My kids (12 & 14) are both taller than me
5. I forgot to how speak English after living in Sweden for a year (give me a break, this was pre email & Facebook)
